Further small-scale pilots of basic income would be of limited usefulness

The number of small-scale basic income experiments in the US has grown significantly in recent years. As new small-scale experiments continue to be announced, the question looms: what more can such experiments teach us? Many of the unanswered questions regarding basic income require larger studies. Some researchers are doubtful there's much more to learn from continued experiments of similar size, duration, and payment levels.
